Happy Birthday Princess!!! Twisted Thursday Challenge #45

All about 'BIRTHDAYS' month is coming to an end!
Can you believe that February is almost over??!! We hope that you enjoyed our WONDERFUL Celebration for our 1st Birthday! It's been so much FUN!

Well are you ready to play with us this week? The Twisted Thursday Challenge this week is really easy! We're giving you a Twist to play along and that's it! Really that's it!?! The TWIST to play along is to use HOT PINK somewhere on your card/project. It can be a color, ribbon, anything as long as it's HOT PINK! So that means no excuses we want to see your FABULOUS work so come on and play along this week!

All you have to do is link your card/project at the end of the post to MR LINKY! Really it's that easy and you could win any digi image from our store! After you link your fab work, don't forget if you upload to a gallery please use the keywords or tags S2GSC45, S2G and Shirleys2girls. You'll have until Wednesday, March 3rd to play along with us.  

Our DT is showing you some FUN and FABULOUS work using their 4-legged friends this week. We challenged them to decorate a Princess Crown from a template that we sent to them. You can see below their creations. Don't forget to click on their name and link to thier blog for more details and pictures of those adorable cats and dogs!

If you would like to play along using the crown, here is the template that we followed. We printed this out as a 6x6 but you can increase the size for a larger one if you like.

Celebrate with S2G SHAKER STYLE!


We're Celebrating this week...
by 'SHAKING' things up a bit! 

We hope that you enjoyed our Birthday Bash Blog Hop and the winners will be announced Friday Evening so don't forget to check out the WINNERS blog! There will be one BIG Birthday Bash winner and each DT member will be selecting a WINNER from their blog comments. Did you get ALL 13 hidden words??? We'll post those as well!

Ready to get started on another DELICIOUS Birthday Week....
We want to SHAKE you up a bit... 
so we're gonna have you create a 'Shaker' Card!  
The Challenge this week is to make a Birthday Shaker Card!
Your TWIST this week...add CONFETTI!

Never made a shaker card, not a problem. Here is how to make a shaker card.  
A.  Use die templates to cut a frame out of card stock. 
  TIP:  You can also use punches or a paper cutter to create a frame. 
      B.  Use the larger die to cut the acetate and patterned paper to the same size as the frame.  
      C.  Sponge, stamp or paint the frame if you want a certain effect. 
      D.  Use strong adhesive on the back of the frame and place acetate over your frame. Let dry. 
E.  Cut the mounting tape into thin strips and attached to the back side of frame that has the acetate.
F.  Leave no gaps between the strips where your shaker card "filling" might escape through. 
  TIP: mounting tape is flexible & easy to shape. (if you take the paper backing      off  before adhering it to your frame.) 
G.  Add confetti, glitter or any other filling to the front of the shaker card frame.
  TIP:  If you need to make your frame higher,  for your filling( because of the filling thickness), add another layer of mounting tape over this one. 
H.  Line patterned paper up face down over your frame. Press down. 
I.  You now have your very own "Shaker" card

Twisted Thursday Challenge # 42 - Happy Birthday S2G!


CELEBRATE!  CELEBRATE!
It's all about 'BIRTHDAYS' month!

S2G is 1years old! 
We can't you believe it. Can you?  Are you ready to PARTY?
The entire MONTH of FEBRUARY is dedicated to CELEBRATING!
We're gonna show you lots of 'Sweet New Digital Stamp Images',  with what else?...
a Party Theme.   The DT is holding another fabulous 'Blog Hop' on 2/11/10 and along the way you'll have games to play & prizes to win! So...get your party dresses on and don't forget the confetti...cause this is gonna be one BIG BIRTHDAY BASH!!!
